The schools of Feng Shui

    1. the school of the shapes
    2. the school of compass
    3. the school of the stars
    4. the school of the symbols
    5. the school of the elements

Each feng shui school has it’s own sense and it helps us to look at the space from various angles. If we use all schools, we can resolve the space in the more complex and detailed way. As it is in feng shui, everything is related to everything, even in the case of schools.

The school of compass:

The school of compass is above all the other schools. It carries the greatest weight and because of that it is very important. In the school of compass we have to determine the cardinal points right at the place. According to that we do the separation of the space. At the beginning we divide the space into 24 parts – entrances. The school of the compass then divides the space into 8 zones according to the cardinal points.
Cardinal points can always be determined by the compass.
We work with the zones according to the BAGUA analysis.
The placement of the sectors depends on the placement of the door. According to that we determine 4 convenient, and 4 inconvenient sectors.
The analysis is done for the whole area and separate rooms. In the rooms the intersection of these analyses is done.
Simultaneously there is a BAGUA analysis made for the area and rooms separately.
Both schools of compass and the shapes make appeal on the missing or added parts of the area. This happens if the house or the flat doesn’t have the regular rectangular or square shape.

The school of the shapes:

The school of the shapes is the most primitive one from the view of the laic.
The cardinal points aren’t determined by compass, but by the placement of the entrance. That is the north.
The school of shapes divides the space into 8 zones according to the BAGUA.
To each zone there is: some of the 5 elements, specific part of life, one or more colours, one number from 1 – 9.
Analysis is made for the whole area and the rooms.
In the school of shapes we also use the heavenly animals. They symbolize the distinctive virtues of the setting.
In the school of the shapes, also the missing or added parts are important.

The school of symbols

The school of symbols works with symbols and it identifies eventual negative symbols in the space, the school also explains their possible negative impact on the owner of the flat or the space, or at the people who live or work in the space.
The school of symbols recommends the use of the positive symbols if it is possible according to the sector analysis.
Positive symbols are used to the improvement of the:

• health
• financial situation
• relationship
• career

Various mediums and tools are included in the school of symbols, which can be used to better the energy flow.

The school of stars:

In the school of stars we need to get to know the people who live in the space. The school of stars is about the numbers. The school of stars is used during the gentle fine – tuning of the space.in the school of stars we use the luo shu grid, as the space itself and the person inside.
In the school of the stars the important thing are the gua numbers and the number combinations in the luo shu grid, which can show us the positive and the negative impacts.

The School of 5 elements

We can influence the energy flow in the house, flat or the office by 5 elements. By these elements some kinds of the energy grow stronger, some grow weaker.
We can assign one element to each cardinal point. Water, wood, fire, earth, metal.
Feng shui uses the principles of relationships between the elements:

• the birth principle
• the principle of the control and the revolt
• the principle of growing weaker and of growing stronger

the principle of the 5 elements is used for studying the suitability of various colors and the accessories when setting up the flat and for the “healing” of the problematic parts.
